Senior Vice President and Project Director
Mr. Beitel has 25 years of experience serving energy and heavy industry clients to provide project management, engineering, procurement, commissioning, construction management and consulting solutions. As a vice president and owner of the firm, Mr. Beitel is technically and commercially responsible for the successful implementation of Sargent & Lundy’s work for numerous midwestern and southeastern clients across multiple market sectors, encompassing large scale combined cycle, reciprocating reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE), environmental air quality control systems (AQCS) implementation, and a tremendous volume of facility betterment projects. He has served as project manager and director for nearly two hundred megawatts of RICE projects in Michigan and Florida, including but not limited to the duel fuel Marquette Energy Center (3x17MW Wärtsilä RICE) and the City of Tallahassee Hopkins project (5×18 MW Wärtsilä RICE). Mr. Beitel is a licensed professional engineer in six states, and holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri. He resides in Chicago with his wife Kara and two children, Alec and Avery.
